My career started in 2017 when I took on an articleship at BDO India LLP in the Risk Advisory Division. I worked hands-on with Risk-Based Internal Audits and crafted Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that reflected both the company’s current practices and the best of what the industry had to offer. This experience gave me valuable insights into risk management and the importance of streamlining processes to achieve greater efficiency.

After completing my articleship, I returned to Nepal and joined GSN Associates as the Manager - Business Advisory. In this role, I advised businesses on how to address their unique challenges and improve their operations. At the same time, I followed my passion for teaching by helping future Chartered Accountants through Accounting courses. During this period, I had the privilege of educating over 500 students, which was both rewarding and humbling. It felt great to contribute to the professional growth of so many bright individuals.

I’ve always believed that change comes from within—you have to make things happen. If you want something to improve, you need to take that first step. It’s not magic; it’s effort.

One of my proudest accomplishments is passing my Chartered Accountancy exam on my first attempt, which opened up so many doors for me. This achievement led me to an incredible opportunity—an articleship at one of the top 5 accounting firms globally.

Later, I moved to Global Select, where I took on a dual role as Head - Finance and Accounting and COO. In this position, I wasn’t just managing the financial aspects; I was also responsible for optimizing how the company ran its day-to-day operations. Working with multinational clients, I helped fine-tune their processes, leading to real improvements in efficiency and results.

Through it all, I’ve grown into a detail-focused professional who thrives on problem-solving and believes in the power of taking initiative to make a lasting impact.
