Who is eligible for PYP?

Should have a recognized degree in Accounting, Engineering or IT from Australia

Must have a Temporary Graduate visa (Subclass 485) with a validity of 12 months

As per the Department of Home Affairs, the validity period for the professional year program in Australia is 4 years from the end date of the program. The program must have been completed over a period of at least 12 months.

No, a professional year is an alternative for experience, according to current migration assessment criteria of ACS (Australian Computer Society).

Generally, ACS either requires 1 year of experience with Australian qualifications for skill assessment. However, if someone cannot find a job, they can meanwhile pursue a Professional year program as a substitute for fulfilling their skill assessment requirement.
